A perceived lack of time keeps many qualified individuals from writing a book

Use this worksheet to identify small chunks of time that you can use to make consistent daily progress on your book.

Finding time to write your book

How important is your book to you?
Are you happier and more productive early in the morning or late at night?
Could you get up 30 minutes earlier during the week if it would help you become a published author?
Could you stay up 30 minutes later during the week if it would help you become a published author?
Do you drive to work, or take public transit?
How do you typically spend your lunch hour? Could you devote 20-30 minutes of your lunch break to your book?
Could you spend an extra 30 minutes a day after normal working hours in your office, and work without interruption on your book?
Could you arrive at your office 30 minutes early each day and work without interruption on your book?
Could you schedule an uninterrupted 30 minutes a day before, or after, lunch to work on your book and still manage to take a break?
Could you spend 20-30 minutes a day working on a laptop at a bookstore or coffee shop? Could you turn off your cell phone while working?
Could you commit an hour or two Saturday mornings or Sunday afternoons to work on your book each week?
Could you review your notes and recent progress during morning or afternoon coffee breaks?
Can you review your ideas and notes in bed, right before you go to sleep?
