WORKSHEET: Social Media Marketing Planning Calendar

Use this worksheet to start planning your social media marketing today!

My objectives in creating the social media marketing planning calendar is to help you simplify your social media marketing by focusing on a few key objectives:

I encourage you to base each month's content around a single monthly theme. Blog posts, articles, and Twitter updates should relate to a theme that--ideally-you will also address in newsletters, podcasts, teleseminars, and fresh web content during each month.

This is not to say that you're limited to a single theme each month.

Whenever appropriate, I encourage you to post about current events, issues, and trends.

But, you'll find your social media marketing will proceed much quicker and smoother if you begin with a pre-determined focus, theme, or topic for each month.

Your choice of monthly themes should be influenced by the chapters needed to complete your book. So, refer to your book's table of contents when working with the social media marketing worksheet.

You finish your book much faster if you view each of your social media marketing articles, blog posts, and podcasts as "first drafts" for the chapters in your book. You'll find your chapters are finished much faster when you write them as chunks (or modules) that originally appeared in each month's social media marketing.

Rather than being distracted by the numerous social media marketing options available, I encourage you to further simplify your task by focusing on just 3 of the social media marketing options available.

Consistency is the key to success! A consistent presence in 3 social marketing media is preferable to an inconsistent presence in 4, 5, or 6!

Consistency builds familiarity and trust.
